creating button to serach for data

i know it is possible to create a button to search for data on access but
couldn't remeber how can u please help me?
 
first, the button is just the trigger.
a select query is want serches. the button would fire the
query.
 
How do you want to search? There's one possibility (very easy) to add a combo
box that searches an item and returns its record when you select that from
the list.
