Creating an Edit Checkbox

I am trying to create a checkbox with a new database that locks the whole
form and subform for being edited when checked and is unlocked and editable
when unchecked. I am not too familiar with VBA and have build this whole
database is design mode. Any information/suggestions as to how I can go
about creating this feature would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
