Creating an Autorun File

Hi

Can anyone please tell me how to create an Autorun File so I could make my software on CD-ROMS start automaticly. I would really appreciate a step by step instruction. I downloaded new drivers for my video card but I have to put them on a CD so when Im going to install Windows ME again Windows could install the drivers 52.55 instead of 33.3 and I need that for other software that I downloaded from the internet for free. Even my own .TXT and scanned .JPEG documents too! Do Autorun files work on Floppy Disks to?

Thank Yo

Mat

(Any Help Is Really Appreciated!)

Hi,

The best bet for an Autorun file and good experience is
to view existing ones from other programs in Notepad.
All an autorun is is a text file that basically says "use
this icon" and "run this program", the exact format of
the outline is quite simple. Here's the contents of an
autorun file off the cd of a game called Startopia:

[autorun]
open=autorun.exe

Place the [autorun] bit at the beginning and then
open=?????(whatever your executable is).

Hope this helps.

I am seeing it, and your response, in WindowsXP.General. Before making
such a comment, please check the messages headers.
