I have created a Binder in Office 2000 containing chapters in a dissertation.
I want to create a Table Of Contents to cover all the chapters (Sections) -
is this possible?

Also - my Figure headings are in text-boxes (grouped to the appropriate
figure) and appear to be invisble to the Table of Figures process - is this
normal?

Any suggestions gratefully received!

See http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html for
instructions on "How to create a table of contents for several
documents". You can create a TOC for the Word documents in your
Binder, but probably not for other files in your binder.

If you convert the text boxes to frames (right-click on each text
box, left-click on Format Text Box | Text Box | Convert to
Frame), then the Table of Figures will see the figure headings.
