Creating a reply rule for a public folder on Outlook 2003

I am trying to create rule whereby I receive a notifcation for any email
received in a public folder. When I create the rule it says "changes to the
rule could not be saved"

The rule I have sent up is anything sent to the email address of the public
folder be sent a REPLY TEMPLATE to my own email address. I can get the
FORWARD rule to work but I don't want to receive the whole message I just
want an email alert to appear to say to check the public folder for new mail.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks
