Creating a Query in Access with user selection from multiple Table

I have a table in Access which contains multiple columns containing data, one
column for each of 28 different branches.

I wish to create a query so that values from the table can be displayed for
individual branches as selected by the user of the query.

How can I set a "criteria" to select just one column when the query is run
without using further queries?

Dear Phil:

There are a lot of good reasons why this is a very bad thing.

The table should have 2 columns where you have 28 columns. One column
should identify the branch, and the other column should contain the
value for that branch.

You are now experiencing the pain of trying to write queries for
improperly designed data. Can I help you fix the data first? The
query will then be pretty simple.
