Creating a new website

F

Fred the Ted

It's been a few years since I created a compltely new website and I need
help. I've managed to publish a test page
http://www.adultsonlyholidays.co.uk/ but how do I get this back and store it
on my hard drive under my webs. I will then be able to open it up and add or
modify pages. My other websites show up on my computer and have a globe in
front of the website name. How can I do this? Hope this makes sense.

Open FP
File | Open Web
enter your http://www.adultsonlyholidays.com.uk web (this opens your web
"live")
Then
File | Publish Web (don't use the Publish button on top)
Now enter the location you want your web stored at locally... like C:\My
Documents\My Webs\nameyourweb
where "nameyourweb" can be anything you want without extension.

There after you'll open the local copy and publish up to the server to
publish you changes.
