Creating a form letter- help please

G

Guest

I want to create a form letter and when I insert the person's name in 'Dear
<name>', I want it to put populate the name in serveral other places in the
document. Is it a macro that does that or is there a way by using fields?

Greg's article will be just the ticket if you're creating these "form"
letters one at a time. If you're really creating "form letters" (multiple),
then what you want is mail merge; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MailMerge/CreateAMailMerge.htm. In a mail merge,
you can insert the same merge field as many times as needed.

19. How can I enter something once in a document and have it repeat
elsewhere?
