Creating a File

I need help. An error message comes saying my 'Run' command:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."
But I don't know how so can anyone help? I'm really desperate.

You have to explain what you're trying to do. You do not use the Run command
to create a file. Use Start>All Programs>choose the program you want to run.

Like I said, there is a message that comes up saying:
"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this
action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel."
whenever I use the run command to browse the internet.
The problem is that I don't know how to do this

Firstly, your problem is completely different from your subject, and
secondly, could you explain how you browse the internet using the "Run"
command? I personally use Firefox.exe or Iexplore.exe.

Well it's suppose to search for the web site I want to browse then opens up
with Internet Explorer. The problem is that it must be associated with a
program, and I have to create one, but I don't know how.

How are you entering the web site info into the RUN command? If you want
MSN for example - you would enter www.msn.com and press Enter and it will
open IE and go to the MSN site.

An association for what? I'm getting more confused by each message.

I'm also confused, so I'll just tell what happened. OK, It starts when my
system goes to an infinite loop so I restarted the computer. Then a message
comes and says my system recovered from a serious error, I then sent an error
report.
Finally a message appears saying "This file does not have a program
associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the
Folder Options control panel. ". I'm not sure what to do that's why I came
here for help.

Does it show what the file name is?
