creating a electronic form where underlining & text form fields

how do I create a text form field on a underlined line without the line
growing. I want the form to look just like the printed page while I'm typing
without altering the look . I can create a text form field with bold and
underlining but the line that the text form field ison grows
 
I'm not sure what you mean by that... I think your using Underline font
style in your text control, but want the underlining to stop at a certain
length?

Don't use Underline Font Style, just place a real Line the size you want
underneath the text. If the text length grows, the original Line will not
be affected.

It sounds as if you're asking a question about Microsoft Word form
fields. If so, this is the wrong place. First, search
