create threaded view

Hi,
How do I create a View that will thread my emails just like in a
newsgroup--both received and sent obviously, by topic, and date?
What is the best way to do it, using what filters, fields, etc?

The closest you can come is to keep all messages in one folder and then
group that folder by conversation.

I tried and it's not that good though. It doesn't really thread that way.
