Is it possible to create a restore image for Windows XP home edition SP2
without 3rd party software?

Hi,

No, you will need Symantec Ghost, Acronis True Image, Drive Snapshot etc..

There's no way you're going to get an image of a hard drive on a floppy
disk. Chances are, unless you've got a very lean install, you're not going
to get an image of a hard drive onto a reasonable numbers of CDs, either.
Are you sure you mean you want an image? Are you perhaps just thinking of
boot disks?

I think she meant the native Windows Backup program, which is not
installed in XP Home by default.
