I have an e-mail addressed to 20 people. i want to create a group address
including all 20 people.

Surely I don't have to create individual contact entries for each person and
then create a groupe and add each person.

Right?

I have Outlook 2000-SR1.

i know how to create a normal distribution list. i have an e-mail that was
sent to 20 people. I would like to quickly create a distribution list from
all the addressees that the e-mail was sent to.

I know I can save each addressee and then create a DL by adding each person.

Isn't there a way to copy and paste all of them at once from the original
e-mail?

Assuming you mean a Distribution List (there are no such thing as groups in
Outlook), use the method here. It will only work with certain versions of
Outlook and certain address formats. You mentioned neither.
