Create fraction format for 3/8. I can do it for 1/4.

When I type the fraction 1/4" (or 1/2" or 3/4") it is automatically turned
into a fraction character, meaning it gets "shrunk". Not so when I type 3/8".
I'm using Word 2002 in Office XP.
I have tried copying the format from the 1/4" to the 3/8" with no luck.
Anyone successful at doing this?
