Create duplicate records

G'Day all,

I have inherited a financial consultancy database:
Clients
Advisors
ConsultancyRegister (of Consultancies)
Consultancy Appointments etc etc
Consultancy has Client(s)
Consultancy has Advisors
Consultancy has ConsultancyAppointments involving
ConsultancyClients/ConsultancyAdvisors.

In prior times a Consultancy existed in ConsultancyRegister until finished and
closed.

Now each Consultancy will be confined to a financial year and, if incomplete,
will be
duplicated with a new ID for the following financial year. Related Consultancies
will
be members of a ConsultancyGroup.

I need to 'duplicate' each Consultancy with a fresh UniqueID near the end of
each
financial year.

Is there a "smart" way to duplicate records in a table that differ only in a
Unique
(Autonumber) field?
