Hello,
I am trying to create a two way transitive trust between
two windows 2000 domains running active directory, and
connected via a cisco site-to-site vpn. Across the vpn I
am able to ping machiness via ip address, I am able to map
drives on servers via ip address, and I am able to browse
websites on the intranet via ip address not machine name.
I know that this is a DNS issue because neither network
has dns info on the other. When I create the trust it
tells me that the domain I entered does not exist. Also
the domain on the other end of the vpn does not show up in
my network places when I am browsing the network. I
contacted Cisco about this. They looked at my PIX configs
and said that they looked good and said that this is a
windows isssue. How do I solve this?
Let me know if you need any more info.
Thank you for your time,
Joe
