Create an image of the document when saved

Word 2007. When I save a template I want it to save with an image of itself
but can't find the setting and there is nothing in Help that even gets close
to this topic. When you click on new and Trusted Templates, the available
templates are shon in the window, but my own templates are shown as a generic
icon while others are images of the document.

Thanks for your help.

With the template open, click Office button > Prepare > Properties. In
the large pane that opens, click the Document Properties button at the
upper left and choose Advanced Properties to get a smaller tabbed
dialog. Click the Summary tab and check the "Save preview picture" box
at the bottom. Close all dialogs.

You may have to make some change in the body of the template -- for
instance, insert a space character and delete it -- to make Word
realize it has to save it.

The drawback of having a preview picture in a user-created template is
that every document based on the template also gets a preview picture
unless you go into the document's properties and uncheck the box. That
can chew up a lot of disk space.
