Create an archive folder

I have an access database with 10072 records. What I need to do is to create
an archive file or folder, because the database runs very slow. If anyone out
there has, any suggesting I will appreciate it.
 
10,072 is not a lot or records. If you haven't compacted the database in a
while you may want to try that.
tools>database utilities>Compact and repair database - ALWAYS compact into
a different filename.
