create a new record in form view

I have a form with a subform. In the subform new records are created by
typing in the next record. The Main form is not in a list view just form
view. I can't see how to make it create a new record.

Clicking on the record arrows and record indicator at the botton of the form
doesn't create a new record?

Oh, I finally figured out, guess I really get to go home.
You have to link Master and child at the table level. You have to be in
datasheet
view. there is a master field and child field link there.
Thanks anyway. --

Both statements are incorrect. It is certainly NOT necessary nor
appropriate to be in datasheet view. You *never* need to open a Table
to edit data!
there is a master field and child field link there.

There are, but Microsoft has gotten a great deal of criticism about
that fact.

To go to the "new record" on a single-record form, look at the bottom
left of the screen. Unless you've turned them off, there are a series
of navigation buttons like:

<< < [ 123] > >> *>

Click << and you'll jump to the first record; < and you'll go back
one; type a record number into the box and you'll jump to that record;
will go to the next record; >> to the last existing record; and...
taDAAAH! - clicking *> will jump to the blank new record.
