Create a comma-delimited file to be opened in Excel

Hi All,

I want to create a comma-delimited file so that it can be opened in
Excel.

However, since some items contain comma, I fear that they may be split
into separate columns because it's comma-delimited.

Any suggestion to not to split a single item that contains comma?

Thanks!

Makes no sense to create a comma delimited file while the data contain
commas. Use another delimiter.

could ou make it tab separated file instead of a csv?

If not csv, what file extension (type) shall I save it as?

I tried using tabs and saved as csv, it seems that they show in squares
in the Excel file and all of them are in a single cell.
