CRC Error

I bought a new WD 160GB hard drive yesterday and today I got a CRC error
when copying files from the new drive. I used the Data Lifeguard software
from Western Digital and it told me bad sectors had been found. It said it
would attempt to repair the sectors and in the end told me it did so
successfully. My question is, should I ever trust this drive with my data.
It is not my boot drive, only used for storage, but I don't want to lose
everything a week from now.
Anyone have any advise on what to do? Will WD software really keep me from
having the same problem in he future?

I would not accept a hard drive that had bad sectors from "day 1". Take it
back!

I have to agree with Crusty. Take it back and get one that has no problems. It's your hard earned money ya know.
