Crazy Question : Mice mod

Here's the deal : I got 2 mice . MS intelli explorer 3.0. and MS
intelli explorer 4.0 . What I want to do is to remove the sensor and/or
the inner parts from 4.0 and put them in the 3.0. Is this at all
possible ?


(Reason I want to do this is the design of 4.0. The mouse is fine in
every way and the sensor is godgiven except the fact that the sensor
postion is totally wrong . It's in the mouse's lower right corner which
makes it very clumsy and imprecise since the center of the mouse's
balance is in the upper part of the mouse . )

I won't even mention warranties, but if you can make the components fit
inside, then there is no reason why not - do all the buttons line up with
the microswitches?

When you have the case off, why not spray paint it a jazzy colour as well -
stick on logos - truely customise it?!?
