Hi there,

Has anyone experienced the IDE's automatic code formatting and
intellisence just turning itself on and off in a seemingly random manor? I
thought in the past this was down to lack of system memory, but now I think
it might be my version of the IDE.

Nick.

I found a resolve, just use 1 IDE at a time and close the active solution
beween opening others. This seems to resolve allot of my current issues
with the IDE. I hope this helps someone else!

Nick.

Ive never noticed this before and I do this regularly.

Cor,
Nick uses 2002 I had as well strange behaviours when I used that.

LOL, I will upgrade one day honestly! :-) That's unless I spend the
next 10 years in broadmoor because I never downloaded Decompiler.NET!,
sheesh! That's the last time I jump on the bandwaggon because I'm pi55ed
with everything that moves! :-)

What version are you using? Does this occur in all projects?

I am without patience waiting on the answer from Nick too you, you know Nick
is the one who made the longest thread together with Fergus here. The one I
had once a big fight with about APIs.

He has more than anybody else written here that he uses VS2002.

Just for fun waiting of course not too harm you (maybe this ends on a record
breaking thread).

Hi Herfried,

I'm using VB.NET 2002 Standard, and it only really occurs with large
projects, it's hard to explain. I've experienced intellisence issues for a
long time now, which I put down to memory issues, but I'm running 512mb so
that shouldn't be an issue. I recently had to use the 2003 version and I
can't say I had any problems with that one, and I was creating a very large
project which consisted of several components throughout several different
languages.

It's just irritating more than anything, I don't mind closing the IDE
and opening it again if it actually solves the problem. I've noticed that
#if statements tend to interfere with the IDE at times, or at least appear
to. Maybe it's just my outdated software?

By the way, I noticed a beta for .NET Framework version 2 on Microsofts
web site, is that to be shipped with the next VS.NET?

Nick.

Ahh, I see. Thanks

Nick,
HAHA, do I sound like a stuck record then?
In past I wrote on that kind of questions from you forever, "I am not the
one who dares to say that you are".

And as you know I only wrote that for fun, because when it was real I have
never had any problem with giving you answers on whatever and to fight with
you in here when needed.

:-).

And as answer, I have seen a lot of messages from that and the XP home
edition and IIS as well. That where the questions you where always keen on.
By the way, when are you giving more answers again?

Cor

Sure is! And you are welcome to start playing with it right now

Hi,

Cool, I thought that it might be.

I wont download it just yet, but shall definitely in the near future,
what's it like as a matter of interest? Even as a beta, surely its allot
more developed and functional than the beta 1 of VS.NET 2002?

Nick.
