Crashes when viewing other calendar

User has Outlook 2002 SP3. I have Outlook 2003 SP3.

When she does a File | Open | Other Users Folder and tries to see the
calendar of a co-worker, the calendar opens for about two seconds, then
Outlook crashes with the "Outlook has encountered a problem.." message. She
says this worked fine until a few days ago. Thinking the co-worker didn't
have their Permissions set correctly, I set her up to see MY calendar as
Reviewer, did a remote and observed we still get the crash; however, we get a
message that "This user {meaning me} does not have a server mailbox."

I was able to run a Repair on MS Office from Add/Remove Programs but it
didn't help. Other than reimaging the PC, are there any other options? I've
been looking at notes here but have not found anything similar. She does not
know of any untoward problems with her PC around the time of this problem.

I would look at the OTHER calendar for problems. Did you try to view
the other calendar? Sometimes this problem occurs when a calendar
has a "corrupt" recurring meeting in it.

I thought that was what I was doing by having her setup to see MY calendar.
Since it also crashed on mine which I know is setup correctly, I believed
that ruled out the other calendars.

I misunderstood.

I would have the client refresh their forms and cache.

To do so, follow these steps:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. Click the Other tab, and then click Advanced Options.
3. Click Custom Forms.
4. Click Manage Forms.
5. Click Clear Cache.
6. Close all open windows, and then restart Outlook.

If the above does not work, try the following.

Deleting the Forms Cache File:
The Frmcache.dat file is the primary file to delete. The Frmcache.dat
file serves as an index of the individual forms that have been cached
on the computer. Use the following steps to manually delete the
Frmcache.dat file. In addition, these steps delete all of the cached
forms on your computer, which are stored in subfolders of the
Forms folder.

1.. Quit Outlook.
2.. Search the Hard drive (<F3>) to locate the Frmcache.dat file.
(Be sure to check in HIDDEN files on W2K or WXP.)
3.. Delete all that are found from the FIND window.
4.. Open Outlook.

When you restart Outlook, and use a form, the forms cache
is re-created.

Please let me know if this solution works for you, or if it does not.
This is a starting point for trouble-shooting this issue.

We tried this twice but it didn't help. If we send a report after the crash,
then click on More Information, it tells us to upgrade Outlook. That is not
an option. If I cannot find a solution soon, this lady's PC will be
reimaged. Do you have other suggestions? Thanks!!!!
