Please.....

I have a access 2000 file that holds a 50 field table and nothing
else. that seemingly corrupted. I use is as part of a back end along
with other files.The usual compact and repair function is hanging up
midway and not finishing. That, or I get an Access fatal error when I
try to do the repair. Is the file toast, or is there a way or a
person who can help?

Yes, I tried to import it into a blank database. i got the same result.
I also tried to copy the file , to export it to another database and also to
excel as a csv file.

All with the same result....Sorry I didn't mention that.
