Using Outlook 2002 on XP Pro. Recently I started getting "Outlook has
encountered a problem..." crashes whenever I tried to save either a
new contact or new calendar item. After installing SP3 and all other
current Office upgrades, I can create contacts, but any new calendar
item still brings the crash. I've also tried a full
remove-and-reinstall, with no luck.

Suggestions?

First try to solve the problem by deleting the file "FRMACACHE.DAT" that
you find in

C.\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Local Settings\Application
Datas\Microsoft\Forms

Restart Outlook and see if that helped. If not create a new profile

Control Panel | Mail | Show profiles

Done.

Restart Outlook and see if that helped. If not create a new profile

Control Panel | Mail | Show profiles

Done -- same "Outlook has encountered a problem..." with new profile.

I appreciate your efforts.
