Crash during resize of Partition

I am after some assistance.

I have a 160 GB HD which was partition in to one big drive. I decided to install windows again but didn't want to loose any of my data so I used Partition Magic to resize the disk in 2. When the PC rebooted and went through the process of resizing it crashed and now I cannot access the drive.

I believe it crashed at 10% overall, this was just after checking all the files.

What is the best approach to trying to recover the date? I'm hoping all that is done is the partition table might have been corrupted.
