CPU Usage & Outlook 2000

For the past few days I've noticed my computer slowing down
or freezing upon opening MS Outlook. I've since repaired,
uninstalled and updated the patches. My program still
crashes or goes very slow. Any suggestions on other things
I might be able to do?
