okay now i got my Super Silent Zalman Fan sorted out
id like to upgrade from XP1800 to XP2400.

i was wondering if anyone could tell me, if there will be diferent CPU Temperature readings on the XP2400 over a XP1800. i expect this CPU to get hotter more quickly over an XP1800

is my theory true? your thoughts please.

Oddly enough, the temp should be about the same. The XP2400 (2Ghz) is the coolest of all the XP family from XP2000 - XP3200.

I have one. Zalman Copper finned heatsink with bracket mounted 92mm fan (Zalman) in a Lian Li PC-61 case with 4 x stock Lian Li 80mm fans (quiet). Not overclocked, running UD 24/7 (constant full load) and it never goes above 48C.

On idle around 43C.

... and this one is at 52, full load runnuing UD, on a bog STD HSF and 45 at idle.

I could change the HSF, but what the heck, it works fine. ;)

wow on XP1800 using silent coolermaster the RPM of the fan was around 3375 with the temp of 49C

with a Silen Zalman fan I get a RPM of around half that around 1548 AND THE TEMP IS LOWER AT AROUND 39C!

cant beleive that! the speed of the fan is lower and yet its still cooler!!!
