CPU temp with P4C800

Got the P4C800 and it Flies, 2.8Ghz P4 800 FSB, HT. WinXP Pro, 120Gb sata

It runs the seti@home data in about 3hr 55min

Just one concern, I have the std cpu cooler, but the
cpu runs consistently about 45 -50 C when running the cpu
at 100%. Is this OK, what temp is the desirable maximum ??

When the system is idle, it runs about 29 - 33 C

Thanks

PS
With the hypertheaded CPU, the perf monitor in windows XP
shows as 2 cpus. A good way on checking that you have turned
on HT

Sounds fine to me.

My P4 2.8GHz 533MHz P4PE (o/c'd to 3.06 @ 576MHz) runs quite happily at 56 C
running 100% seti@home. However mine completes a wu in 2hr 40 minutes.
Your's should be as fast, if not faster than mine with the 800 FSB.

Are you using the screen saver or the CLV? (Command Line Version). If you
are using the screen saver go here for some CLV info and watch your speeds
