CPU Swap

I am going to swap my CPU from a 1.33 athlon 333 bus to a 1.9 athlon
400 bus (Barton) and am wondering if it would be recommended to
re-install XP? No other HW changes.

As long as your motherboard does indeed support
the new CPU, there would be no need to reinstall
Windows XP.
