CPU overload?

Suddenly my applications run slowly. Windows Task Manager shows the CPU
running 100% 100% of the time, even when no other user applications are
started.

Looking at Processes, I see MSKSvr.exe has the lion's share of CPU time and
of Memory Usage, with millions of Page Faults and millions of I/O Read Bytes.

I tried pausing the indexing service, but it made no difference. Same with
Google Desktop indexing.

I can't identify MSKSvr.exe in Admin Tools/Services, tho' its name looks
like that of a Windows utility.

Have I got a problem? What can be done about it?

Thanks. I'd be glad to rate the reply highly, but can only find a button to
signal Yes, it answered my question.

Hope McAfee are working to resolve it.
