Counting the results of a filtered list

Is there a way to count the number of rows displayed when
using Autofilter? The COUNT function displays the
complete (non-filtered) count. The COUNTIF function
returns the correct number but I don't want to have to
manually change the criteria argument each time I want to
change the filter.
