CountIF on two conditions

Hi There


I have a simple countif :
COUNTIF($M$2:$M$7145,Dog)

I want to change it to take account of another conditon. So If in column
P over the same range there is an owner named Jack, then count the
instances of Dog in column M.

There are various owners in column P.

Try :
=SUMPRODUCT(($M$2:$M$7145="Dog")*($P$2:$P$7145="Jack"))
