I've never played this game though and I hear just about everyone playing is experienced. That makes me a little nervous but I suppose ya gotta start somewhere.

I think there are quite a few newbies there, as I've only played it for a few hours and did ok! Came 1st/2nd a few times, and equally 3rd/2nd bottom sometimes.

Its well worth a go once you've finished HL2, its like 2 games for the price of 1 :D

I sometimes use StumblingTrout in games... Haven't played counterstrike online though.

Play DC online, you'll get killed within seconds, everyone is experienced!
 
Desert Combat

Its a mod for BF1942 - its new maps, weapons etc. Its USA vs Iraq (Modern Day) as opposed to UK v Germany etc (WW2)

My find server tab seems to be broke, constantly get the msg - Cant contact master server, its all fine on the laptop, just not on my main PC. Cant be firewall etc as both are connected to same router so I need to add servers to my favorites list so if any of you have servers you play on often let me know and ill add them.

I use Moco or player... but probly wont do any group lans from this site till feb when i switch to 5 meg. just because its probly a uk server and running over 120 ping is just nasty. but should be just fine when i switch. any special server most of you play in? also, i havent played in 6 mnths. but liek someone else wrote,. gotta start somewhere. and while some are very experienced. there is still very many newbs out there to play with till you learn more, if you need any help, when i get back on, I'll give you a hand. the best way is to sit in a room with just 1 other person and have them strafe "play easy" on you untill you get more used to it, i jumped right in playing with guys playing for years after that. losing really really badly, but a good way to learn.
