Count number of records if ....

Hi

Is there a formula I can use so that if the text in column A is the same, to count the number of records? The text in column A will be people's names, and could vary.

I'm not really clear on what you are asking. Can you give more details?

Thanks for your reply; I have now found out how to do it: =SUMIF(C1:C2059,"Countryside Unit",L1:L2059)
