count mumber of similar itmes

Hi

I need to count the number of similar items is a field. E.g. How many 3s in
Field a, how many 2s in the same field .... the entry mode is an option
group with 1,2 & 3 as values.

Dcount will only count the items in the whole field...

Help appreciated, thank you in advance..

Are you indicating that you have a field called "Temp" (for example)... and
it has data that contains 1s, 2s, and 3s... like this:

Temp
---------------
1
1
2
2
3
1
1
2
3
3

... and based on this, you want a count of each #'s?

If so, try:

Select Temp, Count(Temp) as NumberOfTemp
From <table>
Group By Temp
Order By Temp
