Count If Formula for multiple conditions?? How To??

How do I create a countif formula for multiple
conditions? I have a spreadsheet with two
colums: "agents name" and "rental or sale". I want to
create a formula that will count if the agents name
= "Linda" in column 1 and "rental" in column 2.

Any ideas?
