Could not retrieve schema informatio n for table or view...

I am using VS2008 - VB.Net - .Net 2.0 - Access 2000 database.

When I use "Add a new Data Source" to add my database to my application I
get the message "Could not retrieve schema information for table or view..."
after I click Finish to Choosing the Database Objects (tables).

In "Data Sources" I see the tables in the database but I cannot see the
fields.

If I right-click on a table and click "Preview Data", I can see all the data
in the table.

When I drag and drop a table to a form and run the application, nothing
appears in the datagrid.

I have looked, but cannot find a solution for this problem.

Can anyone help?
