Corruption in file

I am getting an error when I try to open one of my databases the error is....

"Microsoft Office Access has detected corruption in this file. To try and
repair the corruption, first make a backup copy of the file. Then, on the
Tools menu, point to Database Utilities and click Compact and Repair
Database. If you are currently trying to repair this corruption then you
will need to recreate this file or restore it from a previous backup."

I have tried running the compact and repair option but keep getting the same
message. Does anyone know of anyway to fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

I would try and create a new MDB, and import all the objects from the
original MDB, if you'll get an error, you can try and import few objects at a
time, untill you find which object cause the problem

The database may be salvagable... and it may be toast.

MAKE A BACKUP, now. If you already have a backup breathe a deep sigh
of relief, you may need it; *don't* overwrite it.

And check the suggestions at
http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm for possible causes
and (hopefully) cures.
