Corrupted secured.mdw file

I've come to believe that my secured.mdw file is
corrupted. It's kind of a long story as far as how I came
to this conclusion. Anyway, is there anyway that I can
validate the data found in that file? or some how run some
tool to fix problems in that file?

Hi Jonathan,

My name is Amy Vargo. Thank you for using the Microsoft Access Newsgroups.

Have you tried compacting and repairing the .mdw file? You can compact and
repair a .mdw file, just as you can a .mdb file. You can also try using
the Jetcomp.exe compact utility.

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please
respond back to this posting.

Hi Amy,

Sorry I haven't replied in such a long time. I've kind of resolved to leave
it alone. Everything else is working fine.

I am in fact able to compact and repair the .mdw file just fine. Strangely,
I've got two .mdb files that use the same .mdw file. One of them I can
compact and repair just fine(this one called FSR Tracking.mdb, I joined it to
the .mdw file manually simply by creating a shortcut for it), it's the other
one called FSR Update.mdb that won't compact and repair (this one I used the
security wizard to create the .mdw file). The error I get is "the password
is too long". There's more details about this in another post of mine.

Anyway, if idea's pop out at you let me know. otherwise, I'm just going to
leave it alone.
