Corrupted files

My daughter saved a power point project directly to a memory stick and when
she has attempte to open it the message is saying 'unable to read' another
message refers to the file as corrupted. Can anything be done to salvage any
of her work or is it a start againer.

You have my sympathies, endymion!

This is why I advise all of my clients to never save directly to a flash
drive or memory stick. They are too darn fragile! I urge them (and everyone)
to save to the hard drive and then use a My Computer window to copy the file
to the USB drive. Takes an extra 15 seconds but is eminently safer...
