Corrupt Boot Record?

G

Glenn

Help is greatly appreciated.

I stupidly plugged my USB music player into my pc with only the native Vista
Home Premium running. The machine hung. Reboots and Startup Repair failed
to resolve this known problem (documented in Knowledgebase article 934540).
I then tried to use the Bootrec.exe tool to fix my master boot record, boot
sector or boot configuration data store (documented in Knowledgebase article
927392). This also failed. I finally reloaded the Vista OS, and it still
won't boot. Suggestions please!!

Failed isn't very descriptive. We know nothing about your machine or setup.
Hardware, drive types, number, partitions, etc. Did you check the BIOS to
see if the boot priority is set properly. What exactly happened and is
happening when you fail. Did you try the F8 options like 'last known good'
safe etc.?
