Correction to .idx file problem

Sorry, but I accidentally changed the 'open with' on all
files with .idx extension to open with 'adober reader
6.0', not 'acrobat reader 6.0'. In either case, I don't
think I should have done that and I just want to take
the 'open with' off of the .idx files.

I don't even know what the files are for! Please help.

..idx are typically index files used by databases. They are normally accessed
through the database application and not directly. To remove the
association:
1. Open Windows Explorer
2. Goto 'Tools" => "Folder options" and navigate to the 'File Types' tab.
3. Select the extension that you want to dis-associate (i.e. idx) and click
the 'Delete' button.
