Corporate Calendar creation

I've got the task of creating a corporate calendar, where different
departments would be able to coordinate their upcoming releases,
schedules, etc.

I was thinking about creating a main calendar folder in the Public
folder and several sub calendars for each departments. When the right
department would put an entry into their calendar, it would reflect
(sych up) the information to the main corporate calendar.

Do you think that this is something that could be done? If not, what is
the best practice to create a main corporate calendar with
sub-department calendars?

Create the corporate calendar indeed in the PF. Synching can't be done since
you have multiple sources unless you do a one way synch. Simply mail enable
the PF and invite it to the meeting. Great for resource booking like a room
or beamer or providing project appointments overviews (in case not all
members of the project group attent all meetings). For personal calendars I
recommend setting permissions on the user's calendar. For this see;

Thank you.

Could you please point me an article where I find how to create a
corporate calendar in the Public Folder structure?

Thanks,

Where do you get stuck? Note that you can only create this type of folder
through Outlook, not Exchange System Manager
