It took us a week to create a very detailed PPP which we burned to
several hundred CDs and distributed to clients.

Now we discover that the Coronet font we used is not present on most
all the PP programs installed in our clients' computers. The alternate
font chosen by PP causes masive distortions to the presentation.

Is anyone familiar with this horrendous problem,,, that has caused
(does cause) such a mess, embarrassment, bla bla bla?

Thanks.

You have to embed the font if you want PPT to display it. Otherwise PPT
substitutes another font that's available on the system -- usually Arial or
Times New Roman.

Test a 1-slide file to see if Coronet will even embed. Whether a font will
embed depends on its licensing. See Embedding fonts
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00076.htm

To embed a font, go to File|Save As and click the Tools button on the Save
As dialog. Choose Save Options and Embed True Type Fonts.

You can also embed it by just going to Tools|Options in PPT, but this will
embed fonts on all presentations, and that may not be what you want because
it does add to file size.
