Hello out there. I cannot turn off the "L Shaped Corner Marks" in Word 2002
that show up in the Print Layout view. I have referred already to
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=839371 but that hasn't helped. The "text
boundaries" box is already clear, and when I go through the steps for
Microsoft Office Language settings, I get prompted to load my WIndows XP
resource CD, which doens't make sense as I am using Vista. I am running my
version using the language English (Australia).
Please help! These corner marks are driving me absolutely nuts!

Someone, somewhere, has enabled your system to type in Japanese (or
Chinese or Korean). (Do you get a whole bunch of extra "complex
script" options in Format Font?)

It looks like i do have several other fonts available. Didn't even notice
they are there as I always just use Arial Narrow. Anyhow, how do I fix the
issue given that?
Thanks.

Word 2002 predates Vista so has no knowledge of Vista as an operating
system. Try using the Vista disc to get the extra resources required.

Uninstall the Japanese, Chinese, or Korean IME from your computer.

But what's wrong with the corner marks?
