Corel software problem

I'm posting here because I can't get any help anywhere else:- New Dell
computer came with some Corel Software installed. Whenever I get an e mail
that has a .PPS file attached, my computer automatically tries to open this
with the Corel Software, which I have not registered because I have no
interest in using it, but I get this Corel registration window and you cannot
cancel it, "X" out of it or anything. It will not go away and it locks my
system up. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this so it will stop popping
up.

Since you don't want to use it, uninstall the Corel software from
Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and the problem will magically
disappear. You can download a free PowerPoint viewer from Microsoft if
you want to see those .pps files (although you should always be careful
opening email attachments) or even install the free OpenOffice suite
which can read .pps files.

Go to Add/Remove and uninstall it. And tell whoever is sending you .PPS
files that you can't read them, they're wasting their time?

Thanks Malke:
I did get the Corel software un-installed and I downloaded the new Power
Point Reader from Microsoft and it does work on the .PPS files - - but only
if I save the attached file and then click on it to open it. It will not
open directly from the attachment in the e mail. I keep getting a message
that it is not associated with a program, but in the Control Panel, the file
types show that .pps files are to be opened with Microsoft Power Point. ???
