copyright symbol

automatic change of c) to copyright symbol. How to turn off? I've searched
and cannot find anything
 
Normally that option is under AutoCorrect options. On the system I'm
running, it is found under Tools - AutoCorrect Options - AutoCorrect. (It
might be in a different place if you're running a different system.) It's
the top item on my list. Just select that line and hit Delete.
 
You can delete the relevant AutoCorrect entry, or you can press Ctrl+Z to
Undo a specific correction.
