Copying text from emails.

I have recently upgraded Outlook 2007. Have Word 2000. I can can no longer
copy highlighted text on emails and paste on to Word document. PASTE is not
available in Word for this function. Can anyone advise why?
 
For which copy method?
Select text-> CTRL+C
Select text-> right click-> Copy

Or both?

Applied SP1 already to Outlook?

Does pasting to Notepad work?
